Rose Lalanne

Rose Myrlene Poitevien was born in Port-au-Prince Haiti on August 15, 1959. In the mid early 1980s she emigrated to the United States and began her life in South Florida. In 1983, she met a man, Vilbrun Lalanne, and they begin dating. They were married in 1984. While they were married, she completed and graduated as a registered nurse so her love for education did not stop there after having two children she decided to complete and go to school to obtain her bachelors degree in nursing.

She receives her bachelors in nursing from the University of Miami and went on to receive her graduate degree from there as well. She completed all of this while working full-time and being a full-time mother and wife. However, she had more goals and aspirations, and she attended very university and received her doctorate as a nurse practitioner.

Both Vilbrun Lalanne and Rose Lalanne have attained an actualized American dream.
