Vilbrun Lalanne

Vilbrun Lalanne was born in Lazile, Haiti on September 4, 1953. In the late 1970’s, early 1980’s, he emigrated to United States with the help of his oldest brother Vilfranche Lalanne. When Vilbrun first came to America, he stayed with his oldest brother, Vilfranche in South Florida. Vilbrun learned from him that education was going to be his ticket to success. While living in Florida, he met a young woman by the name of Rose Poitevien in 1983. They began dating and within a year, they were married. After their first year of marriage, they had their first child Bruneley Lalanne on January 3, 1985. Three years later, they had their second child, Allen Vilbrun Fredrick Lalanne on March 15, 1988. They have been married for almost 40 years by the time of this reunion.

While in American, Vilbrun attended Florida Atlantic university and graduated with a bachelors in electrical engineering. He went on to be a middle school teacher in the areas of math and science for approximately 20 years. While being a teacher, he decided to further his education and went back to school to receive his masters in education at the University of Miami. Eventually, he retired as a teacher, and currently enjoys gardening.
